The best option for a filter less home air purifier is an electronic ionic air purifier. First the air is ionized in a wire-plate section of the cleaner. Then the charged particles of contaminants are attracted by static electricity and trapped in a plate-to-plate collection system. Just as in other types of home air purifiers, the filter- less model will need some maintenance. The plates of the electrostatic precipitation system should be cleaned periodically.
