There are things that we can do in our homes. We can make sure that fluffy toys and pillows are dry cleaned regularly. Exposing them to the sun every so often rids them of dust mites. Upholstered furniture drapes and carpets should be vacuumed regularly. These are very ordinary things that we can do yet they help clean the air in a big way.
Open windows of air conditioned rooms for a few minutes every day. This will allow fresh air to come in and push away stale, unclean air. This is the principle that an indoor air purifier uses to clean the air in our homes. An air purifier uses filters, adsorbent materials, ion chargers and other methods to keep contaminants at bay. By reducing the level of contaminants, air purifiers help to maintaining a healthier environment.
