Wearing diapers are ok if you are a toddler. But if you are an adult, urinating involuntarily can mean anything from inconvenience to utter embarrassment. The problem of involuntary loss of bladder control is called incontinence. This affects countless people, whether young or old, men or women. Yet many are too embarrassed to seek.
There are various products on the market to help with adult incontinence. One is adult diapers such as Prevail diapers. These adult diapers are sometimes referred to as incontinence pads. Adult diapers come in different forms, including those resembling traditional child diapers, underpants, and pads resembling sanitary napkins. Professionals in the medical community are trained to use alternative terms such as “briefs” rather than “diapers” for the sake of dignity as the term diaper is usually associated with children.
