There is a certain breed of people whose strengths lie in helping others. Caregiving for the sick or the elderly is not for everybody. Some people are not patient enough while others don’t want to have anything to do with people who are ill. Caregivers are those who provide compassion, care and assistance to those who need help in everyday living.
Some of the tasks of a caregiver include:
~Personal care assistance such as helping the patient attend to personal hygiene and grooming
~Health care such as monitoring vital signs and giving medication
~Household management or maintenance of the patient’s home, clothes, bed, and utensils.
