senior day care

I lived in Miami for two years from 2000 to 2002. I loved it so much that I was supposed to stay for only two months but I ended up staying for two years. I enjoyed the warm sunshine, the culture and the food. I worked in an advertising agency and for a few hours a week, I volunteered at a senior day care. Being able to help the seniors and learn from them was a humbling and rewarding experience.

At senior day care, I met many people whom I admire and learned to respect. They thought me so much about life’s simple joys. They had activities and socials which I participated in. Some seniors also had therapy sessions. There were nurses around the whole time and doctors who visited the center regularly.
