As an individual grows older he will have to decide on how he wants to live the remainder of his life. He needs to discuss this with his immediate family. He will have several choices. He can live independently if he has the strength and resources to do so. He can also avail of facilities specifically organized for senior housing.
Adult daycare offers a safe environment for adults during daytime hours to participate in a variety of planned programs including social activities, nutritional, nursing and rehabilitation services. Assisted living facilities offer a homelike atmosphere with trained professionals who are available to help residents with their daily routines. An activity coordinator arranges both on and off premise activities for residents. For those who are too sickly or weak to live a pseudo independent life, nursing homes is the best option. Nursing home facilities offer daily meal plans, laundry, housekeeping, medical services and a wide array of planned recreational activities.
