Getting old is a fact of life. Eventually, we will all reach the age where we have to face senior living. Plan for this phase in your life early on. This is to minimize leaving the responsibilities to your children. Ten to twenty years before retirement, make plans on the things you want your life to be when you become a senior citizen. Don’t leave everything too late.

Some of the things you should consider need to include:~Where you plan to live – Will you be selling the big house and move to an apartment? Do you want to explore the possibility of living in a retirement village with other seniors? Do you think one of your kids would welcome you in their home?~Where would you get monetary support – Do you have a nest egg put away for your twilight years? Have you investments that will continue to earn you money even if you stopped working?
