They do it not just to look good. People who practice muscle building realize that it has health benefits. The most important benefit is that muscles are metabolically active which means that the body burns calories to maintain the muscle mass. When you build muscle, you automatically reduce the percentage of body fat. That makes you look good.
When you have more muscles, you will burn more energy and maintain a healthy body weight more easily. But there are pitfalls that should be avoided in the food that you take. Be sure to get enough protein. It is the main source of building muscle. Eat frequently enough. Eating frequently will accelerate metabolism rate and result in the body burning fat naturally. Drink enough water to replace fluids lost during exercise.
