large scissors

In our house, my mom likes gardening and my aunt loves sewing. They both have their own equipment. One thing they do have in common is large scissors. My mom uses her large scissors for gardening and my aunt uses hers to cut fabric. When I was a kid, I wanted to have large scissors like they did. Instead I was stuck with a small plastic scissors that could not even cut my paper straight! I guess it was there for safety reasons but it sucked as far as I was concerned.

Last year, my husband opened a small retail store. We sell shirts and pants for ladies. We have a supplier who sews for us. We buy the fabric and bring to our supplier. She brings out her large scissors and cuts them according to the styles we want. Her scissors look just like what my aunt had back in the 80s when I was growing up.
