Some décor in our homes can be both functional and aesthetically attractive. They can beautify the entire house while serving another purpose. Potpourri is the perfect example of this décor. It normally comes in a very presentable container that gives the place a homey ambiance. At the same time it emits a scent that makes our house smell fresh and lovely.
Potpourri is made up of dried herbs and plants which are naturally fragrant. It literally means “collection of miscellaneous items” in English. In the ancient times, flowers were gathered in spring through summer. They were then left to limp and aging mixture were added into them. These would then be added to unsightly grey mix until the desired fragrance is achieved.
