Help Develop Strong Bones Through Proper Diet and Exercise

Even at an advanced age you want to stand erect, be able to walk and move around. Weakening frame may be part of aging but it should not happen to you if you take care of your bones. Strong bones are essential to good posture, strength and balance. It can be achieved by having the right diet and doing appropriate exercises. The earlier this regimen is started, the better the chance of avoiding bone degeneration.
You can achieve strong bones by following simple rules. Eat a diet that is high in calcium and vitamin D. Examples are dark green leafy vegetables, dairy products and some kinds of fishes. Avoid foods that prevent the absorption and cause the excretion of calcium. Examples are whole grains and high protein animal foods. If you think you are not getting enough of the good things in your diet take supplements of calcium, magnesium and vitamin D. Don’t forget to exercise regularly.
