Have you been experiencing ringing sound in your ear even if there is no noise from an external source at all? If the answer is yes then you might be suffering from a condition called tinnitus. So what is tinnitus? Tinnitus is the perception of a high-pitched buzzing or ringing noise in one or both ear, usually caused by prolonged exposure to loud sounds. Any sound higher than 70 decibels has the ability to cause hearing damage and produce tinnitus. Other causes also include aging and taking high doses of medicines.
Aside from ringing in the ears, the inability to concentrate, irritability, fatigue, as well as tension in the neck and head are also considered as symptoms of tinnitus. If you happen to be experiencing any one of these, you might need to make some lifestyle adjustments to treat the condition. These include eliminating cigarettes and alcohol, reducing salt intake, and avoiding frequent exposure to loud noises.
