Modern medicine has one goal; to extend the life of man. So far this is what we have done. We have doubled life expectancy of those living in the middle ages. Recently we reached another milestone. This milestone is called stem cells research. Of course, like everything new amazing, it comes with controversy. The stem cells controversy can be summed up in one word: cloning.
Cloning is the only thing stopping our government from jumping in the stem cells research head on. What most people are afraid of is the growing and farming of body parts to support the existing people. Stem cells controversy is a question of ethics. It goes back to the age old question, when does life begin.
