stem cells controversy

A scientist describes stem cells as little kids. These children, when they grow up, can enter a variety of professions. A child can become a doctor, a teacher, or a fireman depending on the influences in his life and the environment. In the same way, says the doctor, stem cells can become many tissues by making certain changes in their environment.
The use of stem cells in finding a cure for many ailments has given rise to the stem cells controversy. It has been the center of both political and scientific debate for many years. Stem cell researches were done to find new cures and help advance the medical industry along with science. Unfortunately, many politicians and religious denominations continue to be against stem cell research.
