Record your heart rate while exercising. Use a wrist heart rate monitor that consists of a watch unit worn on the wrist and a chest transmitter strap. You can wear the watch as a regular sports watch. When it’s not connected to the transmitter strap, it will still give you the time of day, issue alarms and function as a stopwatch.
There are some wrist heart rate monitors that don’t use a chest strap. These normally measure the pulse when the watch user puts two fingers on each of the two buttons on the watch face. Pulse is a good measurement although it will not give you continuous information that a chest strap will.
