Save a Heart Attack Victim Yourself

Anyone who suffers from a sudden cardiac arrest can die at any moment. Be prepared to save a life by having a Heartstart home defibrillator in your first aid kit. This device is easy to use. It uses voice instructions which will guide you through each step of defibrillation.

Pull the green handle to activate the defibrillator and voice instructions. If a shock is needed, the defibrillator will direct you to push the flashing orange shock button. This will lead the Heartstart to deliver a dose of biphasic low-energy defibrillation which is effective and gentle on the heart. If a shock in not necessary, you will be instructed to assess the victim and perform CPR instead.
