Hemp is another word for the plant Cannabis sativa L. It is this same plant genus where marijuana, and even broccoli and cauliflower, came from. According to documented studies, there are many benefits of hemp:
- Hemp seeds are drug free and nutritious. They can be eaten and are one of the best sources of vegetable protein.
- Hemp has been shown to lower blood cholesterol and dissolve plaque in coronary arteries.
- Hemp seed oil’s nutritional value combined with its moisturizing properties makes it one of the best body and hair care foundations.
- Hemp can be made into naturally acid-free paper. The oldest printed paper in existence dated to 770AD is made from 100% hemp
