People suffering from asthma and other respiratory diseases are familiar with the nebulizer. It is a device used to administer medication to people in the form of mist inhaled into the lungs. Medication, in the form of a liquid solution is placed into the nebulizer from where they are inhaled by the patient in mist form. The onset of action is much speedier. Also, side effects are minimized compared to other means of delivery.
Nebulizers used to be large and noisy and could be used only in the home or clinic. Later versions are the portable nebulizer that is perfect for mobile individuals. They are small, lightweight and are known to provide fast relief because of the compact and small air particles that it produces. In spite of its size, portable nebulizers are just as efficient as the larger units. The tiny particles that they produce go directly to the lung and air passages.
