Facts about nutrition can be confusing. We come across such terms as calories, cholesterol and vitamin supplements. These are words that we are familiar with but do not really fully understand. We know, though, that healthy nutrition will keep us from getting sick. It will keep our body nourished and be able to perform the tasks that we have to do every day.
We get healthy nutrition from eating diverse food. We have to eat fruits and vegetables, cereals, dairy, poultry, fish and meat products. We get a balanced supply of nutrients from these foods. A balanced supply of nutrients is what our body needs to function properly. It is what keeps us from getting sick.
