I’m a preschool teacher. I teach a special class. I teach preschoolers balance and coordination, climbing skills and gymnastics. My class consists of kids ranging in age from 2 to 6 years old. The first thing we do is go to the jungle gym and practice climbing. If it’s their first time, often they will get excited until they realize how high they are and start to panic. That’s where our actual lesson starts: how to stop a panic attack.
Learning to stop a panic attack is vital lesson to everyone, no matter what the age. When you panic you will definitely make mistakes. The first thing I tell my kids to do is breathe. Relax and breathe. Concentrate on your breathing pattern. A few seconds of concentration on your breathing and, more often, you’re ok.
