ELT antennas

Whenever there is a plane crash, the ELT (emergency locator transmitter) emits an emergency signal so rescue teams can easily pinpoint their location. This is very important when the crash site is not very visible and covered by thick foliage. The signal may be sent automatically on impact or it can be manually activated. Signal detection is enhanced by satellite detection nowadays.
All new ELT’s will require additional ELT antennas. These antennas have to be mounted vertically to be effective GPS transmitters. Most metal aircrafts won’t have any problems in mounting the antennas. There are installation manuals that can be followed so that all antennas will be mounted on properly.
